In parallel with the Seventh Session of the Iran–Kenya Joint Commission on Cooperation, the Iran–Kenya Business Forum was convened with the aim of enhancing bilateral trade and economic relations through strengthened collaboration between public and private sectors. The event provided a dynamic platform for dialogue, idea exchange, and exploration of potential commercial opportunities among participating delegations.

Over the course of two days, the forum brought together more than 150 companies from Iran and Kenya seeking partnerships and trade relations in the following key sectors:

On the first day, H.E. Dr. Heidari, Deputy Minister and Head of Iran’s Investment Organization, joined by H.E. Abubakar Hassan Abubakar, the Principal Secretary for Investment from Kenya’s Ministry of Trade, Investment and Industry, and Dr. Erick Rutto, the President of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, delivered keynote addresses. They highlighted Iran’s strategic position as the shortest and most cost-effective gateway to Central Asia, and Kenya’s role as the commercial hub of East Africa—underscoring the unique potential for expanding bilateral ties.

In this day H.E. Dr. Gholamreza Nouri, Minister for Agriculture of the I.R. Iran visited the Business Forum Venue and had a short speech and some meetings with business persons.

Following a working lunch, business representatives engaged in targeted B2B and bilateral meetings across various sectors.

On the second day, Iranian companies visited the TRIFIC Special Economic Zone, gaining firsthand insight into its investment incentives and operational advantages. B2B sessions continued throughout the day, culminating in a visit to the Iran House of Technology and Innovation in Nairobi.

The third and final day of the forum featured site visits to Nairobi National Park and the Coffee Bee Agro-Industrial Complex, offering Iranian delegates a closer look at Kenya’s agricultural and ecotourism assets.
