IRANOLOGY CONTEST 2024
The Republic of Kenya and the Islamic Republic of Iran have shared a rich heritage spanning hundreds of years particularly, along the Coastal Region. This heritage is the foundation for strengthening bilateral relations between Iran and Kenya, particularly in the area of culture, education and technology.
As part of strengthening this relation, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in collaboration with the Government of Kenya through the State Department for Higher Education and Research (SDHER) has organized a cultural, scientific, and educational competition focused on Iranian studies for Kenyan students. The overall objective of this competition is to encourage deeper understanding and appreciating of the contemporary Iranian culture, art, politics and economics, and create a platform for cultural and educational engagement in meaningful dialogue based on mutual knowledge.
Therefore, the Iranology Contest is an exciting cultural and educational competition designed to promote a deeper understanding of Iran's rich history, language, culture and contributions to art and science. Participants, both Kenyan students and enthusiasts, engage in a series of challenges that test their knowledge of Persian literature, Islamic civilization, Iranian heritage, and contemporary Iranian society. Through this contest the Cultural Council of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran aims to foster greater cross-cultural appreciation and highlighting the significance of Iran in the global cultural landscape.
This cultural and scientific competition is being held across 40 Kenyan universities and features 30 questions covering topics such as culture, politics, literature, and contemporary issues in Iran.
These questions are designed in a multiple-choice format and presented through a Google Form, which the Kenyan Ministry of Education has distributed to the deans of 40 public universities across Kenya.
This Competition is open to all STUDENTS in Kenya and they can participate by accessing the form via the link:
