The Iranian House of Innovation and Technology in Kenya (iHiT), with the support of the Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, presented the Iranian knowledge-based companies pavilion at the 9th Kenya Agricultural and Related Industries Exhibition (Afritec 2024) at Nairobi.
The Iranian pavilion at the ninth edition of the Afritech showcased the innovative solutions of 16 knowledge-based companies specializing in various fields of agriculture, including agricultural drones, Satellite-based agricultural monitoring, hybrid seeds, organic fertilizers, cow embryo technology, and solutions for the food and packaging industries.
This international exhibition brought together companies from over 20 countries to address gaps in the ecosystem. The event showcased cutting-edge technologies developed by Iranian knowledge-based companies and fostered stronger international business ties, particularly within Africa.
Following the initial arrangements, a comprehensive program for Companies was planned including business meetings and negotiations with key public and private sector players in Kenya. Additionally, we facilitated visits to relevant farms and factories to provide firsthand industry insights.
Iran's participation in this international event for the first time drew positive attention from agricultural sector.
